Description
Anointing Oil from the City of God/ "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord anointed me..." (Isaiah 61:1).
This is an original anointing oil made with virgin olive oil from olive trees in the Galilee, scented with biblical essences and Holy Land flowers’ extract. When using this anointing oil in religious ceremonies, during prayer or everyday life, it is well to remember that there is a link lasting over thousands of years which binds the believer to the Holy Land.
Spikenard is also called nard, nardin, and muskroot.
Can be crushed and distilled into an intensely aromatic amber-colored essential oil, which is very thick in consistency.
Nard oil is used as a perfume, an incense, a sedative, and as herbal medicine said to fight insomnia, birth difficulties, and other minor ailments.
The oil was known in ancient times and was part of the Ayurvedic herbal tradition of India. It was obtained as a luxury in ancient Egypt, the Near East, and Rome, where it was the main ingredient of the perfume nardinum.
